"Do you, Doc David Whoof, take this mare to be your lawfully wedded wife?" "And do you, Brighteyes Lauren Hooves, take this stallion to be your lawfully wedded husband?" "Then by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you stallion and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Back to doing pony art again, and this one damn near killed me. But I say it's worth it. I'd been thinking of doing a series of pictures based on my fanon of Derpy Hooves, and the image of her getting married was my favourite of them so I decided to make it separate from the others.
It took about a week to do this working solidly - at least 6 to 8 hours a day every day. There are 28 ponies in this picture, and most of them aren't fully visible, but all contain the same amount of detail. That's what took so long - at most I got about 5 or 6 done in a day. All the ponies on Derpy's side are characters from the show (with the exception of her mother). All the ponies on Doc's side are based on characters from British television. There are less on his side, simply because it was looking crowded enough.
Plus I was both lazy and didn't know what a pony wedding dress looked like.
