The last time I saw 60163 Tornado was in 2009, again, at Salisbury. Three years later, here I am again, standing on a freezing platform for an hour since it was delayed by 40 minutes (but it made up about 15). Now in BR Brunswick Green with the late crest, it was still just as impressive (although I'll always prefer Apple Green).
I didn't get a chance to go on the footplate this time, since the loco stopped about 60 feet from the platform. It then ran into the siding to take on coal. A DMU then passed in front, but didn't block out the engine. Someone then commented that the two together might make a nice photo. Well, you're looking at it.
